Our client is a countrywide Geotechnical Engineering consultancy who undertake ground investigations and contaminated land site assessments. Due to a growing work load, they have a vacancy for Engineering Geologist to join their team in Hertfordshire.

The role principally involves the following responsibilities:

• Project Management / Site Supervision of large / complex ground investigations.
• Supervision / mentoring of Graduate Engineers.
• Supervision / organisation of subcontract crews including:
• Cable percussion
• Rotary sampling
• Window sampling
• Logging of soil and rock to BS5930 / Eurocode 7.
• Supervision / organisation of groundwater, gas monitoring and sampling.
• Preparation of factual reports, GIR interpretative reports and PIR desk studies.
• Liaising with both clients and subcontractors in relation to ongoing projects.

Candidates will ideally have:

• A Degree preferably with a strong Geology / Geotechnical Engineering bias.
• 2-5 years post graduate experience in a similar position.
• Willingness to travel away from home and work outside in all weathers.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Remuneration:

Remuneration / Salary will be commensurate with your experience.

You must have a full UK valid driving licence.
